Now of course some expenses are just regular amounts every month while others are not so regular. Things break down and must be replaced, but you can actually make a plan for irregular expenses too.

Sometimes a tool can help you pull all these plans together. Home accounting software is a way to organize all this record keeping into a common form. The real value of software is the ability to see reports showing where you are and where you wish to go. Without personal accounting software, it's very much like trying to lose weight without a scale. That scale is a constant reminder of where you are and where you need to be.
